About the role
You will develop ML/AI models and math teaching techniques that improve how learners understand, practice, and progress through mathematics, with strong emphasis on practical product impact.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop ML/AI systems that support personalized mathematics learning.
- Research and implement math teaching techniques that improve comprehension and retention.
- Build and evaluate computer vision or multimodal features for educational workflows.
- Work with curriculum, product, and engineering teams to turn teaching ideas into product features.
- Analyze learner outcomes and iterate on models, prompts, and instructional methods.
- Document experiments, model behavior, and best practices for safe and reliable deployment.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong computer vision experience.
- Deep learning expertise.
- Strong Python and ML framework experience such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience building and evaluating production-grade ML systems.
- Understanding of educational technology, learning science, or instructional design.
- Ability to translate research ideas into practical product improvements.
